Associates

    King-Watson and Associates is a strong team of independent practitioners.  Since 1991, we have been a leading service in the areas of custody and access assessments, family mediation, counseling and anger management. All of the associates are highly trained and experienced mental health professionals who provide confidential and professional services to our clients.

    We are specialists in the area of Parenting and Parenting Capacity. We provide custody and access assessments, education and support to parents and children in the separation and divorce process. We also offer supervised access and therapeutic reconciliation for families where one (or both parents) has not seen the children for an extended period.

    Our team offers counseling to individuals, couples and families for a variety of issues. These would include: adult-child conflicts; marital problems; anger management; addictions and mental health.

    We are available to meet with you during the day, evenings and on weekends. Self referrals as well as professional referrals are accepted. Our rates are competitive and our culturally sensitive services are accessible to the Greater Toronto Area, including Peel and Halton, as well as Dufferin and Wellington counties.


    Janace King-Watson, MSW, RSW
(independent practitioner) is a professional social worker, mental health professional, and mediator with more than twenty years experience in custody and access, mediation and mental health.  She conducts private assessments under Section 30 of the Children's Law Reform Act.  In addition, she has been on the panel of Clinical Investigators for the Office of the Children's Lawyer since 1991.  Janace has been qualified as an expert witness in the area of custody assessments. She is an experienced parenting coordinator and parenting educator. Janace has worked in hospital emergency rooms where she conducted mental status exams and provided trauma counseling.  In addition, Janace is a dynamic public speaker who presents to large and small audiences on topics such as mental health, family dysfunction, separation and divorce, cultural sensitivity and healthy lifestyles.  Janace can be reached directly at 905-846-3300 or on the "Contact Us" page. 
           
    Roy Reid, MSW, RSW (independent practitioner) is a professional social worker and mental health professional with over fifteen years of experience. He has a Master's degree in social work with extensive experience in a number of clinical settings including: child welfare, criminal justice, adult and children's mental health, custody and access disputes and the public education system. Roy has an extensive history of protecting the rights of children and advocating on their behalf. He is a member of the clinical panel at the Office of the Children’s Lawyer.     Eileen Spraggett, MSW, RSW (independent practitioner) is a professional social worker with over twenty years clinical experience. She provides a culturally sensitive practice as a therapist to children and adults who are experiencing a range of issues including: mental illness, addictions, domestic violence, alienation, abuse/neglect. She is also on the panel with the Office of the Children's Lawyer where she conducts custody/access assessments.      Veronica Hislop MSW, RSW, (independent practitioner) has maintained a successful private counselling and consulting social work practice in the region of Peel for over twenty years. She is a trained adult, individual and family therapist, facilitator, trainer and public speaker who has provided counselling services to individuals, families and organizations in the following diverse areas: family and marital dysfunction, family violence, separation/divorce, parenting, parent/child conflict, grief, victimization/trauma, anxiety/depression, life stage crisis and employment stress. Veronica accepts referrals from, individuals, family physicians, Employee Assistance Programs, other clinicians, lawyers and Human Resources Departments.      Linda Fehr (independent practitioner) is a psychotherapist, life coach and spiritual counselor. She trained at the Transformational Arts College in Toronto and will become a Qualifying Member of the College of Psychotherapists and Mental Health Therapists when it comes into effect  April 1, 2013.  Her many years  as a Registered Massage Therapist have taught her first hand about the connection amongst the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of the individual, and have helped to develop her clinical and listening skills. She also has a background in fitness instruction and music. Linda works with individuals to address a variety of issues such as depression and anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, spiritual crisis. Her goal is to ultimately help you live your life more fully.
